The need for transformation in these utility sectors and the requirement that such transformation leads to equitable growth is core to the prosperity and sustainability of the future economy. However, the new disruptive technologies associated with the 4th Industrial Revolution and its focus around adaptability and future skills has the danger of excluding many stakeholders.
Navitas will focus its investment strategies around many of the core areas that will hopefully lead to a just transition, particularly in the areas of energy, water and food provision and believes that it has the mixture of skills, track record and ambition to play a leading role at this critical juncture in South Africa.
